Plants + Science is a nutritional supplement for smoothies. I was approached to create numerous packaging looks and social media. The client wanted to do viral marketing rather than traditional routes.
Stasher is a new category in food storage. As founding Creative Director, I was responsible for product colors, packaging, social media, photography + styling, in-store presence, and instructional-use videos for consumers and Food52. I also designed and implemented the company’s first e-commerce site on Shopify.
During my time as CD, Stasher had 1983.7% growth becoming the #1 fastest-growing company in the Bay Area according to the San Francisco Business Times. In addition, Stasher became the No. 1 selling food storage container in Target. I worked closely with Target on in-store promotions, end-caps, aisle violators, and social media ads.
Lifefactory was the first glass hydration bottle on the market and highly successful. I was hired to rethink and redesign packaging and launch a new line of hot beverage bottles.
Along with a team of designers, we redesigned product labels, packaging, website, and social media. In addition, I worked with a top San Francisco photographer and directed all shoots.
I chose all product colors based on a projection of historic design trends, sales numbers, and customer demographics and worked with bottle manufacturers to introduce a unique technology using metallic ink patterns that were preprinted and fused to the glass in a kiln. These premium bottles were sold at a higher price point.
The company was sold to Thermos while I was there.
Helinox makes an amazing line of award-winning outdoor furniture. Chairs weigh under 2 lbs, and cots under 4 lbs packed.
As Creative Director, I designed the look and feel of the brand for introduction into the market, both in the USA and UK. I designed all things brand including, a style guide, photography, creative content for social media, tradeshows, in-store presence, and everything to launch a brand.
Bioaid makes KN95 masks and filters. During covid this product was designed and came to market. Since this product was developed late, social media was crucial for developing the brand. The last image showing packaging was for Walmart.
A few years back, Chrome was bought by one of my clients. They asked me to step in and design an image book. I searched the Chrome archives for some cool retro images from the start of the business, and combined them with new pics.
Orbis Wheels makes an in-wheel electric motor and brake that retrofits any gas car or truck and turns it into an energy-efficient vehicle. The initial kits are made for delivery trucks such as FedEx or UPS. The prototype packaging, social media content, and brand deck were used for fundraising. This is a start-up in the development phase and I worked for this startup in “stealth mode” for just under two years. The work I am showing the work that is currently not under an NDA. Other parts of this project are still unavailable for release.
This app was to accompany workout equipment. This was an extensive document given to the programmers. Originally this was a deck of cards. My job was to turn it into an app. While not the most exciting design in the world, it shows a well thought out document.
